🧠 February 2 at Arlo Soho: Cheap Therapy by Hoes With Feelings – “Unpack low-grade trauma and heal minor childhood wounds at Cheap Therapy by Hoes With Feelings. Untrained Professionals Karolena Theresa and Melissa Rich provide laughs and unsolicited advice to the show's comedians and audience. After their stand-up sets, comics receive a therapy session to unpack an issue and see what's really hiding behind those jokes... Audience members are invited to enter their name (and what they'd like to focus on this session) for a chance to take the stage and heal in real-time. Unlike actual therapy, cocktails are both allowed and encouraged.” [$18]
🌶️ February 3 at TALEA: FLY BY JING X TALEA LAUNCH PARTY – “We’re turning up the heat this February, literally. Join us on Saturday, February 3rd to celebrate the launch of our Sichuan Weekender Lager, a collaboration between TALEA and Fly by Jing featuring Fly by Jing’s delicious tingly spicy tribute peppers and citrus brewed with our crisp light lager base. At each TALEA taproom, every draft pour of Sichuan Weekender will be served with a complimentary sample of Fly by Jing’s cult favorite chili crisp oil! Keep it spicy with a chilli crisp wrap from Milu, featuring two Fly Jing products + even get a pepper or beer flash tattoo at TALEA Williamsburg. Pre-book your flash tattoo at Williamsburg here!” [Free]
🌎 February 3 at Easy Lover: Drunk Planet Earth – “Mystery Science Theater meets Animal Documentary with drinking rules thrown in at Drunk Planet Earth! Hosted by two comedians, Brian Morabito (Comedy Central) and Stephen Buckley (UCB), the show revolves around watching a nature documentary, drinking and the audience trying to stump the hosts with animal questions. Each time the hosts get a question wrong, they take a shot. This is NOT sold out, Eventbrite only lets us list 25 RSVPs here! Come through” [Free]
🥛 February 5 at Dixon Place: Mother’s Milk – “Mother’s Milk is a variety show that asks comedy, dance and music performers to try something they’ve never done before, to do something they’re scared of (and to possibly fail, but fail 100%.) Eleanore Pienta hosts with wild performances between acts. This creates a night of energized discovery that the audience is a witness to. It’s a hell of a night with no shortage of fun.” [$19+]
😂 February 7 through 18: Tina Fey & Amy Poehler: Restless Leg Tour – “Comedy pros Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are bringing their Restless Leg tour to NYC for a multi-night run at the iconic Beacon Theatre in February. Given that the duo are comedy icons, writers, producers, actresses, and Saturday Night Live alumni, get ready for lots of laughs. So far, fans who attended the shows got to see the duo celebrate 30 years of friendship with an evening of jokes, never-heard-before stories, and conversational entertainment.” [$200+]
🥕 February 7 at Farm to People: Break The Ice: A Retro Winter Dinner – “A blast from the past! Fancy Feast Supper Club is back at Farm to People. Join us for Break the Ice: A Retro Winter Dinner by critically acclaimed chef and artist Leah Guadagnoli. Visitors will be greeted with hot toddies and beet-deviled eggs as they go down memory lane with wholesome vegetarian dishes evoking mega nostalgia and cozy comfort inspired by Guadagnoli's Midwestern upbringing. Her motto: vegetables never go out of style. Vintage attire highly recommended!” [$85+]
🪳 By February 8 at Bronx Zoo: Name-A-Roach – “If you've ever had an ex that behaved like a roach — and let's face it, we all have at least one — then you can finally get your lick back and turn them into a living, crawling cockroach, since they want to be one so bad. For the 13th year in a row, the Bronx Zoo is bringing back its iconic Name-A-Roach program, which lets you name a Madagascar Hissing roach after a once-loved one. For just $15, donors receive a digital certificate confirming the name of their chosen roach, with the option to upgrade and get colorful roach socks, plush toys, and even meet the roaches' human caretakers (or you can have it all sent to your ex's house instead). Orders need to be made by February 8 to be received in time for Valentine's Day.” [$15]
🍽️ February 10 in Gowanus: The Seasonal Depression Soirée – “Pretty please emerge from your cave to spend an evening with new friends. What’s the plan, stan? ~enjoy some welcome mezze ~learn how to make pickle veggies (& take some home!!) ~sip on some vino ~make valentine’s day cards ~fill in some cheeky mad libs ~enjoy an accidentally vegetarian meal of cozy comfort dishes” [$150]

Shelly Watson will be hostess and provide music alongside Cupid on the Keys. There will also be hot and steamy performances by Pearls Daily, Jack Barrow, Little Miss Lixx, and Aquarius Moon.” [$25+]
💔 February 14 in Central Park: Breakup Night at Wollman Rink – “If the thought of Valentine’s weekend makes you want to crank up those Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo break-up songs, this is the celebration for you. The rink will trade its usual status as the setting for countless romantic comedies and real-life love stories to transform into a big heartbreak party, inviting single skaters to come and sing their hearts out to break-up anthems from the two singer-songwriters.” [$26]
😨 February 16 through March 17 at St. Ann’s Warehouse: The Hunt – “Based on the film Jagten by Thomas Vinterberg & Tobias Lindholm, The Hunt is a modern-day parable, a thriller. A quiet teacher faces a devastating accusation against the backdrop of a rural hunting community. Truth is no match for the forces unleashed.” [$54+]
🐶 February 17 at Washington Square Park: National Boston Terrier Day – “If you're a Boston Terrier aficionado, then you probably already know about National Boston Terrier Day. If you didn't, consider this a chance to redeem yourself: Dozens of Boston Terriers are expected to descend upon Washington Square Park for the second celebration of this obscure but important holiday on February 17 at 1 pm. The gathering is organized by NYC Boston Terriers, an aptly-named group of Boston Terrier owners who meet every month, but this, of course, is the crown jewel of all their meetups. Last year, more than 100 Boston Terriers attended the event, and turnout is expected to be even bigger this year.” [Free]
🫕 February 22 at TALEA Cobble Hill: Alpine Cheese and Seasonal Beer Pairing Class – “February is all about doing, drinking, and eating what you love with who you love. For so many of us… that includes beer and cheese. Grab your partner or your bestie for a fun date night where you’ll learn the basics of pairings through the best tastes of the season. You’ll taste through some Alpine cheeses with cheese monger Emilia D’Albero and seasonal beers with TALEA’s Hannah Kiem. Leave with more confidence in your own pairing abilities and a deeper understanding of the flavors you love to love.” [$50]
🎤 February 25: John Oliver & Seth Meyers – “Oliver and Meyers will kick off a Sunday night residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City come 2024.” [$125+]
🐩 February 28 at Danger Danger: Must Love Dogs and Comedy – “When NYC venues started opening back up after quarantine in Spring 2021, dog lovers struggled with how to return to ‘normal life’ and care for pandemic pups. People were excited to go out and reconnect with family and friends! But, they had to leave their pups at home. Additionally, it is almost 2024, and representation and inclusivity of historically underrepresented groups in comedy is still a very visible issue. So we thought, “Hey, why not produce a comedy show where people can bring their dogs to, support animal rescue and wellness and create space for underrepresented performers”. And Voila, Must Love Dogs and Comedy was born!” [TBD]
👩⚖️ Through May 28 at The Jewish Museum: RBG Collars – “As she donned the black robe for her role on the Supreme Court, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was known to adorn the traditional garment with a wide array of collars and necklaces. Now, her fashion is getting the spotlight in a new photography exhibit. The installation features two dozen photographs of the late justice’s collars and necklaces taken shortly after Ginsburg died in 2020.” [$18]
Who’s down?!
