Edition 2: The 'Low Down ✨
Happenings over the next month or so
Hellllooo, friends!
Welcome to the second edition of The ‘Low Down which, in case you missed it, is a SmiLOW pun. Speaking of, cool pun-focused event below…
I started this newsletter to connect people to cool events and to each other. And, so that we can take advantage of the magic that this city has to offer – it's easy to fall into our routines and lose sight of that!
I’m planning to publish this on a monthly basis. Here are my asks of you:
Let me know if you’d like to attend any of the below events together – but if you’re tryna go on your own, that’s fine too! You can reply directly to this email
Forward this to friends who may be interested
Let me know if you have feedback – on types of events, pricing, email format…anything goes
I’m also testing an “Anna-tations” section below, where I’ll provide commentary on some of the events I attended from the last edition.
Last piece of housekeeping: If you are on Gmail and this email is in your Promotions/Social/Updates tab, try dragging the email to the Inbox tab so it ends up there in the future. You can also respond to this email, which helps Gmail recognize your emails.

Anna-tations from the last edition ✏️
🎭 Solo. A show about friendship – A few of us went last week and LOVED this one-man show about male friendship. It just got extended for a third time (!) and is running until 3/23. You can use promo code “GABE” for a discount.
🕺 Flight Facilities concert – Sadly, this is not happening again in NYC in the near future AFAIK but wowww this was a good show. Motion for all DJ sets to start at 6:00 PM so I can get to bed at a reasonable hour.
👎 Free comedy show that need not be named – lesson learned: if a comedy show is free, you should go in with very low expectations… and I will not be featuring any more of them in this newsletter… thanks for sticking through that with me, Shiri.
Who’s in?!
